Abstract The present paper reports on the investigation of unsteady combustion a methane-air mixture, including at increased pressure in chamber and temperature mixture heating for model gas-turbine swirl burner based design by Turbomeca. To measure velocity OH fluorescence fields flows combination stereoscopic PIV acetone PLIF systems is used. In all cases, flow dynamics associated with movement large-scale vortex structures inner outer mixing layers structure corresponds to swirling jet central recirculation zone containing products. An increase leads periodic partial separation flame from nozzle. However, fuel through channel will stabilize flame.
